What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

I’ll most likely be doing my usual thing of trying to tart up some personal web stuff, starting with this blog. (Yes, I’m aware that at the time of posting this, the embedded video is spilling out of its allotted space.) Twitter‘s great but I need to sharpen up the long-form writing skills. Actually, scratch that. I do enough long-form stuff at work. I just need more space to write stuff and nonsense that isn’t a constant battle against management wonk speech like this list of The Ten Most Annoying Management Terms Of 2011 on Business Insider. (I’m already steeling myself for a fight about the use of ‘impacting’ instead of ‘affecting’ in a couple of weeks. At the moment, I’m flip-flopping between digging my heels in and letting it go because, ultimately, if the client wants awful copy on their site, despite my considered advice which they paid for then it’s up to them.)

Anyway, whatever you’re doing today and tonight, have a good one. I’ll see you in 2012.

  1. Good work Ken, precisely why I started blogging again properly a few months back, albeit I couldn’t bring myself to do anything remotely work-related.

    The site looks great too.
