Bill of fare for Monday, 14th April

14 April 2008 by K, No Comments

Breakfast:

I don’t think I actually ate anything for breakfast.

Lunch:

We had some visitors from the US at work today, so we all went out for lunch at the floating restaurant H2O. We shared bruschetta and garlic focaccia (with and without cheese). I had a main course of seafood pizza.

Dinner:

Again, visitors meant eating out. This time we went to a lovely French restaurant called La Buvette (my review on Qype). I had an excellent meal, with all three courses very much up to scratch: scallops, onglet steak with chips, nougat glacé.

Bill of fare for Saturday, 29th March

Breakfast:

Toast, two slices of which topped with butter and garlic sausage, the remaining slice topped with butter and ham. Once again, A stole some of it.

Lunch:

Home-made pizza, topped with a modicum of ripped mozzarella, ham, torn basil leaves and sliced tomatoes (no tomato sauce). The pizza dough was actually a purloined section of the bread dough I had made in the morning. I love doing this kind of thing, because it’s so much nicer than shop-bought stuff and I know that I can feed it to A, and she’ll be getting food that’s tasty and good for her.

Dinner:

Another meal where A had some portioned off. This time, chicken paella. I made a schoolboy error in forgetting the chorizo for this, so it wasn’t as savoury as I’d have liked, but it was still nice. I also stirred in some cooked prawns into my portion (P doesn’t like prawns, for some bizarre reason).

Bill of fare for Tuesday, 25th March

Breakfast:

Two slices of toast with saucisson a l’ail. A, the adventurous little girl that she is, decided she also wanted to try some saucisson.

Lunch:

Beef sandwich, using the leftovers from last week, with mustard and mayonnaise. A few of those new Pringles rice jobbies on the side. Oh, also nicked some of A’s Marmite sandwich. I haven’t eaten Marmite on anything other than toast for aeons.

Dinner:

A lovely chorizo risotto made by P. Followed by a more successful attempt at popcorn. (Last night’s was a bit on the burnt side.)
