Good song.

For some reason it made me thing of the Tracey Ullman classic They Don't Know. For me that's the perfect song for the happiness that comes with the beginning of Spring:

What are the specs on the new PSU that you purchased? I have a LaCie 1TB Big Disk and would like to try and see if this is my problem as well. After reading other blogs it was stated not to get another LaCie power supply because it will go out to so what other one could I get?

After having spent 3 days to solve this problem, this article helped me. I have two LaCie 2TB Big Disk which both units had light in the blue light, but the hard disks spin down and no one could even come in contact with them. Has ordered two new power supply are for tomorrow:)

Hi there,

I've got Multiplex (also made by the people who bring you RipIt) to give me a view of my ripped DVDs in combination with Mira, to give me a bit of extra control over the Apple Remote functions. Basically I set up Mira to give an option to open up Multiplex and navigate my collection, which then opens up DVD player.

The problem with Mira is that I really can't get it to play nicely with EyeTV, and occasionally weird things happen to the remote so that it responds weirdly to button presses.

Originally I was converting DVDs to iTunes format using Handbrake but 1. that takes ages, and 2. it feels like an unnecessary waste of hard drive when the DVDs are already there.

I would love Front Row/iTunes integration.

I just used our old Mac Mini, upgraded the RAM plugged in an EyeTV (Hybrid to watch and record live TV), added a 1TB MiniStack (v3) and started ripping our DVD collection. I have to say that I love the ripping process of the RipItApp as well and I will be buying the app once the trial period is over. I am still wondering how to get our collection to appear in iTunes (well Frontrow really)? I also had a quick look at Plex (as a Frontrow alternative) but that doesn't seem to have a EyeTV integration. What is your setup to browse through your DVD collection?
